This is a view of Boston from the Prudential Observatory, and one from a boat in the harbor. Boston is one of the oldest places in the U.S.- it was founded in 1630 by British Puritans, a strict kind of Christians. Boston is a center for education and research, and has 40 colleges in the area. It has a wonderful mix of old and new buildings, historical architecture and glass skyscrapers. The reflective building in the middle of the first picture is the Hancock Tower.
Every September the population of the city gets bigger, as thousands of college students come back to school. The streets are crowded with kids carrying boxes and mattresses. It is a great place to be a college student, because of the resources of libraries, music, parks, theatres, and social life.
The Charles River is the border between Boston and Cambridge, but from a satellite photo it looks like one city. Harvard and MIT are in Cambridge, and Boston University and Northeastern are in Boston, but they are a 10-minute bus ride away from each other.
If you visit Boston, it is easy to see all these schools.
